Circular Strength Training

If you are looking for a health first fitness system look no further than the programs developed by Scott Sonnon. The Circular Strength Training system design builds on three foundation principles of mobility/warm-up, exercise, and recovery/yoga.  Coach Sonnon designed the system to have three inter-connected rings (check out this post for more info on CST and what it looks like in practice)The following four banners are for each of the elements of CST.

The following two banners take you to “plug and play” programs that give you following exercises and so you how to operationalize the core concepts of Circular Strength Training.  The first from Coach Sonnon and two CST Head Coaches delivers a body-weight only program called TACFIT Commando. Just because it is a body-weight only program doesn’t mean it is easy. If you want to try it out, click here, for the Isreali TACFIT Commando Challenge.   This program is designed to provide an incredible workout that is completely portable. It will kick your butt!  The second program provides you a great program by adding to your expanding tool box of training.

Superfoods

Mangosteen falls under the category of a superfood. It has powerful health benefits including an awesome antioxidant, but one of the main reasons I use it is for the exercise recovery. One of the best ways to get mangosteen fruit is in juice form that includes the whole fruit. I have found Xango to be one of the easiest and cost effective ways to get mangosteen. Click here or on the picture for the link.

Best Timer

If you want to use Tabata Intervals or HIIT programs than this is the timer to use!  Yes, I you can use an app on your smart phone, but there are a number of times and activities that I don’t want my phone with me or on my body (I have banged and broken phones…the small Gymboss timer is much easier and cheaper to replace).  This timer is super easy to use and won’t break the bank.Runner Banner Square Favorite Tools/Systems
