Clubbell Mills for lunch? On a Snow Day?
It seems that each day life becomes more hectic. How many people are trying to juggle family responsibilities with work responsibilities and still leave time to exercise? I can totally relate to having a demanding job and balancing family life…I have 3 kids under two and half years in age (extra stressful with 3 month old twins). I appreciate the struggle with time and exhaustion and then the last thing you are thinking about is exercising.
HOWEVER, I am here to tell you that you can squeeze in exercise throughout the day. Here is a clip from this past Friday of me doing a quick session of Clubbell Mills on my lunch break.
Clubbell Mills with the 25lb club
I hopped in my car and went to a park less than 5 minutes from my work. I was able to do 100 right-hand and 100 left-hand Clubbell Mills in under 8 minutes. I switched hands every 10 reps (until the last 10 each side, I had to switch every 5 reps). The Clubbell didn’t touch the ground for the duration of the exercise so I got a good cardio effect added to my resistance training.
Add the 5 minutes each way with 8 minutes of Clubbell Mills and I still had the potential for 12 minutes for lunch (TIP: I added a couple minutes for a warm-up and a couple minutes for a cool-down, so I only had 8 minutes to eat).
No Excuses! If I can fit in a training session so can you. Just be creative and you will find opportunities to exercise everywhere.
Oh, I also forgot to mention it was only 16 degrees outside with windchill dropping the temperature down to -1. NO EXCUSES. So make sure you do a great warm-up before your session…I would even recommend leaving the car running
Your health will only improve if you take the first step and do the work.
Good Luck (and stay warm),
Richard

Hey Richard, I was just about to ask you about the temperature as I could witness that chilly wind blowing on you and I was like YIKES, lol! Wow @ -1. That is cold!!! I live in the Caribbean so I don’t have to worrry about weather like that.
You definately show us that we have no excuses not to exercise despite time contraints or the weather. Kepp up the good work.

I still consider myself a Californian ex-pat in the Midwest and windchill is definitely bone chilling. Thanks for the encouragement. I would much rather be in Caribbean. I love the ocean…someday I will get back by the beach
