Workout Wednesday: 1000 Calorie Challenge Workout from Arnel and Adam

Today’s edition of Workout Wednesday can be considered as some serious metabolic resistance training.  I posted earlier today about the 1000 Calorie Challenge program created by Joel and Arnel.  So I thought a great way to show you more would be a workout created by Arnel for Adam Steer (from the Bodyweight Coach.com).  MRT style workouts continue to gain popularity largely because they burn a ton of calories in a short amount of time.  The following workout as detailed by Arnel will set you up to burn 1000 calories in one workout.  You would have to spend an hour jogging on the treadmill to burn the same amount of calories…or in half the time you can use the sample workout below.

This is a tough workout, so watch the video (yes, it is over 12 minutes but you will want) to get all the tips and cues from Arnel.

The 1000 Calorie Challenge Sample Workout

This work out will leave you in a pool of sweat.  So if you want to learn more about the full program than check out the 1000 Calorie Challenge website.

How the 1000 Calorie Challenge works.

The 1000 Calorie Challenge combines exercise and diet. In a safe and effective way through reduced caloric intake with days of high output exercise. That is where Joel Marion’s expertise comes into play.  Joel programs it so you create a caloric deficit that doesn’t give you a mental or physiological crash by purposefully waving nutritional variety throughout the week.

Some days you will be eating around 1000 calories paired with more normal days, but never fear there is a cheat day!

Is is humanly possible to function while doing this program? Can you still be productive with your daily tasks at home and work?  Absolutely, so give it a try just make sure you focus on the progressive component of the 1000 Calorie Challenge.

Cheers,

Richard

p.s. Just in case you want to try the workout, but think the 1000 calorie version is too tough than here is the precursor 600 calorie workout.
